An Embarrassment

Dear Diary,

Apparently I'm an embarrassment to you-know-who.   Lifting my leg to pee has become second nature to me and you-know-who says it's not lady-like.  I'm surprised that she's finding the time to take me for walks at all... what with all the painting she's supposed to be talking about doing and the book she's working on.   I've heard from a reliable source that she's found my old diary and it's being revealed inside the book for the sole purpose of bringing me to shame.  That's why I've decided to share this with you.

Shhh...  she mustn't know. Gracie.

Dear Diary,  I'm supposed to be painting, but I haven't even started.  I did get the paint bought... it's called Rainforest and I think it will look good in the living room, dining room and hall.  I'd love to slap that paint on and be done with it... but Gary refuses to let me paint till he gets the walls prepped.  He has not done this yet.  And so, no painting has taken place.  Maybe spring.
Gary just got a 50 inch TV for the efficiency apartment that is in back of our offices. We now call it the Consultants Lounge during the day and his Man Cave come evening and on weekends.  This is where I've been working on my book when we are not busy, and it is so relaxing.
No baby yet... but patiently waiting.
The other day when I was vacuuming the floor I thought I saw a spider and I screamed.  It kept jumping around, trying to get away...  but it turned out that it was only a piece of fuzz.  That's all for now.  bobbi.

MY BAD

Thank you, Veterans!

My sister, the school teacher, asked me to email her a picture of Dad for a Veterans Day wall her class was creating.  Here is the finished product.

I wish Dad were alive today so I could tell him how honored I am that he was my father.

Dad died at 53 years old.  Wow, that's young.
I miss him to this day.

A blink of an eye...  and you might miss it.
So don't blink!

Have a beautiful Veterans Day everyone...
And to all those who served...

THANK YOU!

Gracie and I are still chilling from Blogger but we hope to be back real soon.  I am tempted to just get in here and start seeing what you all have been up to...  but then one thing would lead to another and before you know it, I'd be hooked again and this painting would not get done and neither would my book.

Miss you all!  Will be back soon....

Taking a Break

I had one more 'late' Trick or Treater, my grandson Jake.  When it was time to go home, he told his parents to go ahead and leave...  he's staying with Grammy and Pop Pop.  LOL.

You gotta love 'em!

Well, it's that time of year again...  and Sunday we will turn our clocks back.  Not my favorite time of year, but this year is so much better than last year was at this time and I am so very thankful for everything.

every day.  every family member.  every friend.

 thankful!

Updates:

The new business:  Awesome!  The best move we ever made.  I am so happy with my work now.  We are busy, and the big wooden ear is well known in our area.  We do a lot of advertising, but word of mouth seems to be our best source of advertising.  Blessed!!

The new grand baby:  Should be here within the next month.  Mom and baby are healthy.

Gracie:   Aside from a flea now and again...  she's doing well... as feisty as ever.

My Memoir (book):  Coming along slowly.

Gracie and I have decided to take a blog break.  There are some things I need to work on but am procrastinating.  One of them is my book.

Hope you're all having a beautiful fall.  We'll see you soon!
