Isn't It Grand!

EXILE
Last night was fourth in a series of Legends of Rock n Roll concerts at a local high school auditorium.  First was The Platters.  Awesome entertainers!  Second performance was about a month later, Marilee Rush and Lou Christie.  Great!  Next came Elvis Impersonator, Matt Lewis.  He was really purddy.  *wink, wink*

Last night, EXILE and Juice Newton.  EXILE is in capitals because they were, at one time, my favorite group!  Last night, they did not disappoint.  And Juice is 63 years old and looks wonderful!

Today, three of my GRANDS were at church and we brought all three home with us.

I love them all so much.  Each is special in his/her own way.

After church, a "HOME" Happy Meal from McD's.

Then, off to the movie "HOME"

These kids were wound up...  After the movie they were running here and there and everywhere and I was afraid I'd lose them in the mall.  So I gathered them up and escorted them to the car.

I now understand why God gives us children when we are younger.

Turning sixty next month, I  honestly find it sometimes hard to keep  up with these energetic, enthusiastic, curious little curtain climbers.

But I am grateful for each one of them, and wouldn't trade them for the world.

Angry

Spring arrived yesterday and it was quite angry.

Someone else was angry too.

But.  The calendar says it is spring and I am believing.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Today would have been my mom's birthday had she lived past her 69th.

Don't even ask me how old she would have been.

Is it awful to say I do not know what year she was born?

And now,  Wordless Wednesday.....

Three Ex's and a Wannabee

Wife #1 is second from the right.  Wife #2 is far left.  Wife #3 is far right.  The blond (second from left) is/was a wife wannabee who did not make the cut.

I love every one of these ladies!
My brother loved and lost.
He loved again, and lost.
After losing one more time he decided to hang it
up and get a dog.

Jimmy and his Koda were inseparable up until Jimmy took his last breath.

Jimmy's Memorial service/life celebration was Saturday.

It was beautiful.  All the ex's were there, paying respect to a man whom they once loved as a husband and always loved as a friend.

Go Snow, Go! by Gracie Phillip

Snow be gone, go away,
Never come again, I say.

I can't go walk, nor even pee,
And snow, you're all I ever see.

So go away, with you I'm done,
I'm ready for blue skies and sun.

Life Goes On

These last months have been really tough ones.  I am working on getting back to routine.  I miss blogging.  I miss my friends here.  I feel out of the loop.  I need to catch up and regroup.

On Saturday:  We will be having my brothers memorial service to celebrate his life.  I will have a contentment in leaving this behind me afterwards.  I really miss him and it is hard to accept that he is gone.

But, life goes on...  And I am grateful for the many wonderful people, family and friends who are in my life.

Dear Diary,

It was a normal day.  Four thirty pee emm came and I was happy.  You see, five o'clock pee emm is when my food bowl gets filled.   I thought...  I'll bet chickie bird is on the menu tonight.  I licked my lips.  My belly growled saying feed me.  And then, Dad puts my harness on.  Mom looks at me with an evil grin and says, "you're going to get groomed."

Say what?

And now you know the rest of the story.  Gracie.
