Mondays Mug: The Prayer of Jabez

Mondays Mug: The Prayer of Jabez

1 Chronicles 4:10   "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

Mondays Mug: Noah's Ark

Mondays Mug:  Sight and Sound Theatre

 Noah's Ark

This mug has high priority and has been my coffee mug for many years.
It was an experience I will never forget.
Have you ever gone to the Sight and Sound Theatre?  There is one in Branson, MO and one in Lancaster PA.  We were able to catch Noah's Ark while it was still playing in Lancaster.

It was an incredible experience and
when I left the theatre I could hardly speak!!

Luke 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Mondays Mug: Anyone For A Spot Of Tea?

Mondays Mug:  Tea Time

It's not exactly a mug...

I found it at an antique market
and fell in love with it.
Since it lives with the rest of my mugs,
I didn't want it to feel left out.

Anyone for a spot of tea?

I hope everyone is having a peaceful Monday.

Mondays Mug: Kennedy Space Center

I can't imagine anything that would be more thrilling than to watch the Space Shuttle launch.

If we would have been there just a week later, my dream may have become reality.

Monday's Mug:  Kennedy Space Center

The blizzard that we drove through while exiting Frostburg, Md.  that first day of March in 2008 wasn't about to dampen our spirits.

Our destination: Florida

We visited relatives, and set aside some fun/educational time as well.

This place is awesome beyond words.  We did an all day tour.  I took this picture on the bus as we were on our way to the Space Center.

Woahhhh.... Getting too old for this...

My Handsome hubby...
 pretending to be an astronaut.

There he is, first row-far left.
I chickened out on this ride (simulation) at the last minute.
That explains the empty seat right beside him.
  I'm such a baby.

There was so much to see and do.

I touched a piece of Mars!

Fascinating place!! Good food! Souvenirs!

Behind us you can see the Space Shuttle Endeavour which was scheduled to launch on the 11th of March... just a week later.  Any adverse weather conditions or even a minor problem will prevent the Shuttle from launch on it's scheduled date.  The security there is tight, and everything has to be perfect before launch.

We had fun.  Met new people.  Learned a lot.  And brought home a mug.

Have a Magnificent Monday my friends!

Mondays Mug: Mug People

 Mug People.

Fine Porcelain by Papel.

1976 Retro vintage by Phil Papel

Found at an antique mall in Indiana thanks to Hubby's keen eye and the mall that was just a few blocks from his home in Chesterton (before he moved to Maryland).

Oh, how I love browsing through antique malls!!

Happy Monday everyone!

Mondays Mug: Gone With The Wind

I was always torn between wanting to be the malicious, devilish, conniving Scarlet O'hara who had all the guys and dressed in the most beautiful big dresses I'd ever seen, or the mild, meek, loving Melanie who hadn't a mean bone in her body.

Gone With The Wind, one of my all-time favorite movies.  The cup was a gift from hubby years ago.  He does pay attention.

Mondays Mug: Mall of America

The largest Mall in the USA!

The Mall of America

Located in Minnesota

It was in 2002 that we experienced this lovely mall.  Gary had a great idea!  Get the girls (Lindsey and Athena) Walkie- Talkies, that way they could separate from us and would not get lost. This was before every teenager in America had a cell phone.

Trouble was, many parents had the same great idea and we ended up talking to a zillion other teenagers before finding ours.

Yes, there is an actual carnival inside this mall.

I have more pictures, but they are so lost.  I'll post them some other time.  When they just 'happen' to show up...  errrr

I guess I'll need to stop hoarding pictures next.  I can never find the ones I need...

Oh, but I did run into this partial picture of
one of the the Castle ceilings from last weeks mug:

Have a Marvelous Monday everyone!

Mondays Mug: She Loved Her Father So

Mondays Mug

This mug was given to Hubby
from his daughter Athena for Father's Day.
Athena, at age ten would cry
because her mom wouldn't
let her spend more time with her dad.

She then would cry when it was time for
her to go home because
she wanted to live with us.

This is the other side of the mug.

  She loved her father so...

But the X found a psychologist who works out of the basement of his home, does not have a PHD, and oh, the things this man was allowed to do to this child!!!

There are many good memories.

At age 13, we saw her for the last time.
She was bribed, hypnotized,
put on some very strong drugs, and brainwashed.
I have all the court papers and emails
that prove all these things.

 She now believes her father
abused her from age 3 to 13.

 She hates him.

What happens is, along with good memories,
false memories are planted
 and the past gets distorted.
 Before her father was targeted,
his father and son were targeted.
 When that wasn't enough to
remove him from her life,
they chose to target her father.

 For those not involved in
 something like this,
they might not have a clue
as to how this could happen.
 Aren't the courts fair?
Doesn't proof mean anything?
Isn't the best interest of the child
 what matters most?

The answer is no to all of the above.

It is a money train,
and all involved get a piece of the pie.
I watched it happen.
It was the worse form of child abuse I've ever seen...
happening on the inside... pulling a heart of
love and admiration from a child
and planting a heart of
resentment, hatred and anger in it's place.

Hubby continues to send child support,
 but never sees her.
He also pays for a Christian school.
She just turned 18 last month,
but has another year to go to school.

Tell me what you think of this video
she just put on you tube a few days ago.

 Be prepared though, it's foul...

Keep in mind, hubby has no input in her life.
He's been forced out of her life since age 13.

I can still hear him praying with her
at bedtime when she'd be with us.

He continues to pray for her.

Jealousy is an awful thing,
and for someone to do what was done to
this father and daughter
  is an abomination.

Hubby met with Athena's Christian School principal when she was 13,
and shared with them some of the stuff he was finding online...
He was reaching out for someone to help her.

The X told Athena:
"What kind of a father would do such a thing...
go to their daughter's school like that and do this?"

A father who cares.

God help this kid, who is now a disturbed adult
because of what has been done to her.

Monday's Mug: The Castle

Monday's Mug

My childhood memories of The Castle
are of swing sets and green grass,
tall stone walls,
a haunted room upstairs where
an image of a man (ghost)
could be seen every evening at dusk,
(I saw it, but wasn't convinced)
and the angelic and colorful ceiling
above my Aunt Ollie's living room
that reminded me of a
beautifully decorated birthday cake.

The Castle has changed hands a number of times since Aunt Ollie owned it, and Aunt Ollie has since passed away.

But the memories...  oh the memories
 I have of that place!!

The Castle is now a Bed & Breakfast

The Castle past and present:

This is the 'haunted room'... now known as The Robert Burns Room... even today it's known for it's infamous 'ghost

The history of this place is pretty cool.

About eight years ago we visited this
 B & B that was
once my Aunt Ollie's home...

Monday's Mug

I'm noticing that some of the blogs I visit have themes according to the day of the week.

I like that.

That is why I'm putting aside Monday's to tell you about my mugs...  the ones I've collected and  displayed on the ledge above my kitchen cabinets.

They hadn't been down in... forever.

I found a dead bug in one.

Time to give them all a bath.

Today's feature mug:

Lefton China

These, hubby found at an antique store
when we first met.

He fell in love with them

and they represented him,
with his daughter Athena

 and me,
with my daughter Lindsey.
