Saying Goodbye to Summer

Summer is winding down...

But let's take
a snapshot in our minds...

So we can bring them out and remember the beauty that was...

and that will be again...  once spring emerges in 2013

In the meantime...  Gary prepares for hibernation by buying a new 65 inch Samsung Smart TV.

Turn out the lights!  It's Movie-time!!

Dear Diary,

Today Mom rushed me over to her office to spend some quality time together.  Just me and her.  At first I thought.. Huh!  Mom is turning over a new leaf.  She loves me after all.  If this is a sign of things to come, then I will be one happy pup!  Just me and Mom.  Lovin' life.  Spending our days together.  blah, blah, blah.  Upon returning home, I found the smell of intruders, a strange new devil box replacing the old one, and bits of styrofoam littering the living room.  Then, her annoying, nagging commands:  "Gracie, don't eat that stuff, you'll die!"  "Gracie, get out of the way, daddy has to hook this  stuff up"  and so on and so forth. Same Nag.  Different day. Gracie.

  1. Poor suffering Gracie. The world is supposed to revolve around her!

  2. Dang Gracie, the nag got you again!!! You poor puppy!
    Lovies, Miss Mindy

  3. Oh Gracie, I bet the TV is really for you:) Have a blessed day dear Bobbi, still feeling a bit like Summer here! HUGS!

  4. Oh Gracie....Don't despair. Just tink bout how hap-pee and excited you'll be when dey turn on da re-runs of Lassie! Up close and personal!!!

  5. Devil box... I love it!

But Gracie, you'll get more lap time!

  6. Oooops. When it comes to Dads and TV ... look out! Poor Gracie. I'm not showing the Dad at our house this blog. He might get some crazy ideas.

  7. I am going to miss summer! I don't mind fall so much but I despise winter! I hate that it's just around the corner. :(

Veterans Day - Remembering Dad

Pulling Dad's letters from an old tin,  I feel his loneliness as I read his letters home.  (FYI, Jo was my mom) Jan. 18, 1...
