I've A Feeling We're Not In Kansas anymore...

"I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore..."  I whispered as I waited for our ticket confirmation.

The Grand where The Jason Bishop Show was being performed was majestic.  Well, actually his show was in the Baby Grand right next door.  But first we had to go to the box office at the Grand to get the tickets that Jason had put back for us.

Someone once told me that this world would be a pretty boring place if everyone were the same.  What a profound statement.  This town proved to be very entertaining.  And I'm not just talking about the show...  LOL>

Pinocchio, the ballet was playing at the Grand.  Above> Arguments about which line to get into eventually provoked a hissy fit with the female of the couple as she stomped out of the box office and into the busy and strange streets of Wilmington.

Above, far left you will see a ticket scalper.  "I don't understand why people look at me like I'm strange..." she said to me.  "I'm just trying to get rid of these tickets since my daughter can't come to the play..."
Sure she can't come....

People talking to themselves and even arguing with themselves.  Some pedestrians were having a real hard time walking straight and I could've swore the one guy was going to meander right into a light pole!  Whew.  Close call.
I didn't notice the attire of the fellow above  until he turned the corner.  He was in front of us and screaming at someone about
stuffing a foot up their *^&*@*!
The parking was free, however a sign said that we should park at our own risk.
 Okay...
Everything in the trunk!!

The Jason Bishop Show was great, though.  And he asked us to stick around after he signed autographs so we could talk and get hugs and pictures.

Dear Diary,

Suitcases. Vacation. More hugs than usual. I knew it could only mean one thing.  I'd be spending the night alone.  No wonder I got the dysentery.  My nerves are shot.

But then, Lindsey and Rissie stopped by to
take me outside and to feed me. They came by again... and again...
I guess I'll be okay.  Gracie.

  1. Hi, it's early here in California and I didn't realize you were on a trip to a show. All I have to say is that I love Gracie's Diary and I want to see it published. So I can have it and read it both for me and to Samson. Love it!--Inger

  9. Bobbi, sounds like an interesting trip all the way round! Big cities have 'a lot' to offer as far as 'different' go.
