Doggie Depression

Dear Diary,

When I come in from outside, my feet are wet.  When I lick and bite at my paws mom yells, 'Gracie! Don't chew on your feet!'

Walks are a thing of the past for me.  All I do is sit at my window and watch the house.  Day in.  Day out.  Watch the house.

If I voice my concern when a stranger walks past the house...  there she is again...

 'Gracie! Stop barking!!'

Is it time for her to go back to work yet?

The skies are gray and icy rain is falling from the sky.

Doggie depression?  Heck no... not me.

I just wish I could find a place to pee.

  1. Hang in there, Gracie. You can always do what puppy-Abbott does and use the first 12" out the back door . . . of course, I get groused at for that one, too. Humans are bossy.

  2. Aw, poor Gracie! It won't be long until spring! (and your Mom will go back to work eventually, hang in there!)

  3. Peeing is a natural biological function...time to let her do what comes naturally!

  4. Oh Gracie, would you believe that our 'little CarrieAnne has the same problem?' I know she totally understands...

  5. Bobbi, you should send a copy of that video into the Funniest Home Videos program. Add a funny voice over and you might win a $100,000!

God bless and I hope you and Gracie have a great week :-)

  6. Oh Gracie,
Sometimes we moms have to stop and think how much we are nagging. Mom doesn't mean to hurt your feelings, she really does love you but we can get uptight at times.
I do hope the snow melts quickly for you so you can pee on the grass once again!

  7. Oh, that's too cute! She keeps falling down through the snow! Poor Gracie, there's no good smells when the snow covers them all up!

  8. Dear Gracie
    Don't be depressed. I understand!
But soon everything will get better and you will find that nice green sweet grass to pee in.. I know it will come soon.

  9. OMD...nows, dat is just pitifulls! Girl, you has my complete and total sympathies cuz I knows all too well how it is to try to find a place to pee when da snow is too deep...and da peeps laugh cuz you looks so dang silly attempting to walk.

  10. Sweet Gracie! That snow was too deep for your short legs, wasn't it? Glad that you finally found the spot. Misty and Cindy also have to search hard for the very, very right spot!

Now, you be patient with mom. She is recovering (thank God!) and she is probably also going "bananas" having to stay at home for so long. Give her lots of love!

  11. tee hee hee, not laughing at you Gracie, just with everyone else.

  12. I am having the same problem here! The snow is over my head - makes doing my business a little difficult.

    Your pal, Pip

  13. Hi Gracie, nice to meet you! Aw, it's hard to walk in all that snow. Maybe Mom can shovel a path to the ladies room for you!

  14. Gracie...I have two words for you
    litter box!!! MOL
And if you need help learning to use it I'm you go to BFF!
Mom is feeling nearly 100% today thank you. Especially after eating she didn't eat anything yesterday.

  15. Aw that was cute! I love the music you had with the video. I have a poodle and she owns me too! Like your blog!

  16. Too cute! Sorry about the snow! Hoping it melts for you quickly!

A Note From Gracie

Hey All, Mom and dad are getting the pool ready and you know what that means.  Splashing kids and wet dogs.  Not a fan of either one.  Bu...
