Magic

Spring is in the air.

Gracie smells it.

And here I am...  on my way to Delaware...

Jason Bishop is a well known magician who is performing in Wilmington, Delaware at the Grand today.  GP's mom once provided years of foster care for him and now he has saved us some tickets to his show :)

Travel was not good.  Plenty of rain, slowed traffic and yes... we got lost briefly.

Yahoo maps wasn't enough.  I had to fire up my navigator on my Android to get us back on the right track.

As far as hotels go> I gave Trip Advisor one more chance.  This Holiday Inn Express was rated right there on top as far as the reviews go.

My faith in Trip Advisor has been restored.  A sparkling  hotel that smells clean and the Internet even works.

Last night I decided to take my turn (Scrabble) with the game my sister and I are playing (her on her IPhone, me on my ITouch IPod).

Sorry.  But I need to brag.  I got 95 points > my word-Crayons.  She's a school teacher so it always does my heart good to beat her in Scrabble.  Of course the game's not over yet...  so I should stop gloating I suppose.

Well, gotta get ready for the Magic Show this afternoon.  I hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday.

Poor Me

Whoopsie!

I don't know how that 'Listen to my Songs' thing got on as a blog post a little bit ago.  Scratch that.  I was trying to get it on my sidebar but it ended up being a post.

A few weeks ago I took a picture of my Tylenol bottle for my blog and somehow it ended up on facebook.  I had friends on facebook  writing...  'Bobbi!  What's wrong?  Are you okay?'  LOL>

So the moral of the story is:  Be careful what you do online.  It might end up who knows where and people will be saying...  What the....???

Okay, I have to share this with you.  I'm involved in a game of scrabble right now and you have to see this:  The best score I've ever had for one word.  The word: Daddy.  Underneath those letters is a triple letter and double word, I believe.   77 points.  Can you say, 'WoW'?

Gary has a habit of quitting when I get over thirty points ahead.
New rules:  No resigning until there are only a couple tiles left.

Dear Diary,

Today I pooped on the floor because the sun was shining and there was no walk for me I felt sick to my stomach.  Poor me.

Yesterday I pooped on the floor because the sun was shining and there was no walk for me I felt sick to my stomach.  Poor me.

The day before yesterday I pooped on the floor because the sun was shining and there was no walk for me I felt sick to my stomach.

Mom says I'm in rebellion.  Dad says I'm ridiculous.  I wonder if the sun will be shining tomorrow?  Gracie.

Mondays Mug: Z

Mondays Mug: Z

Scrabble anyone?  My sister gifted this mug to my hubby one year for Christmas.  I guess she was getting bored with winning all of the time and wanted to give him an advantage.
It's always good to know the z and x words.  Of course, you have to be lucky enough to draw those high-point letters to begin with.

On my new Samsung Mesmerize, I downloaded an app called Wordsmith.  I convinced Hub to join in and play along...  it's almost identical to Scrabble.   So now I have 'Words with Friends' going on with my sis in Annapolis, and 'Wordsmith' going on with Hub.

Ha!  I didn't know zarf was a word.

Can't Play Without Scrabble Music

I came home from work to a vase of new wildflowers from our  front yard.  These things are not giving up!

Thank you, Gary

This will probably be it though.
I know...  I said that last week.

And they just keep on coming...

But this time I'm seeing more signs of everything dying off.  When we took Gracie for her walk, we walked around front to take a look...

Bees are dying on the waning flowers...

It's breezy... and there's a chill in the air.

"Do you want to play Scrabble?" Gary asks.

One of the first fights we ever had was playing online Scrabble with 550 miles between us.

He was cheating.  I swore I'd never play Scrabble with him again.  But time heals all, and I finally bit the bullet and forgave him.  He hasn't cheated since.

Can't play without the Scrabble music.

I should have known it wasn't going to be a good game for me.

Gracie wanted to know, "What about me?"

"Gracie, it's always all about you.  Just take a nap."

I held on for a while...

But the hubby won in the end.  It was a bad board.  I had nasty letters.  And yes, I have a lot of excuses.

I lost, I had to put everything away.

So how was your day?
