Mondays Mug: Z
Scrabble anyone? My sister gifted this mug to my hubby one year for Christmas. I guess she was getting bored with winning all of the time and wanted to give him an advantage.
It's always good to know the z and x words. Of course, you have to be lucky enough to draw those high-point letters to begin with.
On my new Samsung Mesmerize, I downloaded an app called Wordsmith. I convinced Hub to join in and play along... it's almost identical to Scrabble. So now I have 'Words with Friends' going on with my sis in Annapolis, and 'Wordsmith' going on with Hub.
Ha! I didn't know zarf was a word.
I didn't know it was either!
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see your unique mugs! I was a terrible Scrabble player!
ReplyDeleteI love Scrabble...my husband and I play and we are so competitive and have been known to over-turn; aka 'throw' the board when the other is winning :) such a great example we set for our son!
ReplyDeleteAnd the definition of zarf is?
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cute mug. It would be nice and helpful to have around during a game of scrabble for sure. I don't have much luck when it comes to playing the game.
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbi, Love the mug but we don't play scrabble either. I am sure I asked you before but forgot(sorry)what type of dog is Gracie? She looks almost like a cockapoo but I'm not sure. Our next dog will need to be non-shedding and I love Gracie's size. You can email me if it is easier. Email:werhis3@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHugs today.

What a handy mug to have. I may save a picture of it, just so I can refer to the visible words on it when I play Scrabbble (on Facebook). I don't yet have a fancy schmancy phone to play word games, though it's probably just as well, as I tend to have an addiction problem (to word games, not drugs!).
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why, but your site takes forever to load for me now. :-o
Cute mug! I don't know what a zarf is either and neither does my spell check. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIs zarf, when a zebra barfs? (smirk)
ReplyDeleteA very cool mug! We love Scrabble, have you seen the new electronic version with the cubes?? Now I want to know what zarf means!
ReplyDeleteAnd now for the moment you've all been waiting for: zarf: an ornamental metal cup-shaped holder for a hot coffee cup.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad, I didn't know either.
Love the mug! I have started playing Words with Friends with my BFF. We are having a good time but I lose all the time too!
