It's A Trust Issue

I have so much catching up to do.  I can't begin to tell you how much I've missed reading your blogs for the last couple of days.  Now that Gracie's home and things are settling I hope to be visiting you soon.

June 1 is just around the corner.  Oh, I wish I could share with you some of the things I've been doing in preparation.  But of course, I can't.  Not yet.
Oh - I can say that tonight I got some really good news.  Okay.  Time to zip my lip.  Sorry.

To all who commented on my last few blogs:

On Monday morning when I left the Animal Hospital  without Gracie, first I wiped the tears from my face, then I called Gary...  and the next thing I needed to do was blog.  Why?  Because I knew that there were a group of people here with huge hearts who really care and I knew I'd find comfort and support.  You didn't let me down.  Thank you for being my friend.

Dear Diary,

I was so glad to see Mom when she came to pick me up from the hospital.  She was glad to see me too.  For a minute.

But then...  "Gracie!  Don't bite the vet tech!!"  Hey, why not?
It's not like I trust her or anything.  She then asked mom to remove my generic collar and leash.

Then she asked mom if she'd remove the tape from my leg where I had my IV.  Yes.  You got it right.  I threatened anyone coming near my taped up leg.

Except for mom of course.  When we got home, she snipped it right off.

It's a trust issue....

And I'm having a real problem
with that right now. Gracie.

  1. I am so thankful to get an update. Gracie, I am thrilled that you are home and I hope you remain nice and calm until you are all better. You are very blessed to have your Mom!

Bobbi, Don't worry about catching up; just visit when you can and enjoy having Gracie home.

  2. I'm so glad that Gracie is home! We're not going to stay long, and will just quietly send healing thoughts and leave!! :-)

  3. Oh little Gracie, Tessy and I are sooo happy you are home and getting better!... of course you trust your mama!... I had some nurses I didn't trust much too when I had surgery last fall!... Sending you lots of love and doggie kisses!... xoxo Julie Marie and Tessy

  4. Gracie - - - when you've got attitude and spunk, you have a good prescription for getting well fast! Glad to hear you are home with those you love. Stay calm.

  5. Hang in there Gracie and momma. We're rooting for you both.

  6. Gracie, You've got a wonderful mom!

  7. Poor Gracie has been through a lot. She kind of looks like one of those deflated pillow pals in these pictures!! But now that she's home, she will be joyful once again!!! And YOU are driving me nuts with these hints of the future!! My guess is still change of job or part time job, no more full time.

  8. Gracie
I am so happy you are home, and ok.
I send my healing magic bubbles to you

  9. So thankful that Gracie is home.... YaY!

Sending love and prayers y'all's way....

  10. Dear Sweet Gracie...excellent idea of Mom to post that sign!!Bless your sweet little heart we are so sorry you have had such a rough few weeks....and I don't blame you for not trusting the folks who have been poking on you. Rest very quietly and relax. Mom and Dad will take excellent care of you.
    Gentle hugs,

  11. Awe Gracie, I don't blame you at all! Just rest a lot and soon you will be able to run and jump all over the place! Love, Billy and his Mom

  12. I am so lovin' da sign you posted...hehehe!
And yes, Gracie you is os rught bout da trust issues. I think it's a natural instinct to react to peeps you don't trust when you is in dat situation. But, I knows my Vet would disagree withs me;) I am so glad you is home and take it easy!!!!!!!

  13. Thanks for the update. I glad Gracie is recovering. She looked so tired in the pictures. My cat hates the vet too. Survival is the key. Give her a hug from me.

  14. I was tinkin' bout you yesterday and wonderin' if you was home yet and hopin' dat you were.

No more jumpin, Gracie. Tings happen in three's and we don't want dis to be one of em.

Just glad you is recoverin' and Mom is glad too.

  15. Sooooo glad Gracie is back home... She sure has had a tramatic time of it. And poor MOM!!! Yes as Ginnie I am going nuts wondering what is going on over there.... Spill the beans soon OKay...

  16. Hi Bobbi and Gracie,
So glad Gracie is home!!! Gracie we animals lover understand you so well!!! It is natural for you not to trust those that are poking you!!
Secrets you have Bobbi??? Can't hardly wait!!
    xx, Bambi & Fern

  17. good idea with the note! glad Gracie got back home safe and sound and I think it shows the spunk she has to be a little testy with the vet tech! after all she's been through there, I think I might be prone to bite too!

looking forward to June to hear what is up!

  18. So glad to hear that Gracie is back home!
