Surgery Again

I just got to work.. I'm having a real hard time to keep tears from falling.

Gracie hurt herself last week.  My sister had come in from Annapolis, and Gracie goes crazy with surprise visitors - she jumped from the chair, ran to the door and started yelping.  I knew something was wrong.  But then she seemed to get okay, but there was swelling and bruising.  Before then, her surgical site was doing so well

Today she went to get her sutures removed.  The outside looked good, but she has a hernia.  They kept her there and she goes back in for surgery today after noon.  I'm so so so so so so sad.

    Thanks everyone. When I took her in this morning I had no idea I'd be leaving without her. It's been a tough couple of weeks trying to keep her from hurting herself. I know she's been getting depressed because she wants to be going for walks and enjoying life again... especially on the pretty days. I AM going to put a sign on my door... crazy as that sounds. I don't want to do this again. I just hope she does surgery okay. She has a real problem with the anesthesia...

    Oh my goodness! Poor lambie! Bobbi, I am so sorry you are having to go through this again....

    Please dokeep us posted. My family were asking me repeatedly how Gracie was, during the last episode, so just remember lots of people are praying for y'all and thinking of you too!

    Firt happy belated b-day to Gary.
    We are so sorry to read about Gracie. Bless her little heart. It is so hard to keep the furbabies from jumping and they don't seem to understand until it it is too late. I remember each time we've have a pet spayed/neutered the Vet says don't let them jump and make sure they don't get excited. And I want to say how in the dickens can you keep a cat from jumping or a dog from getting excited.

    GRACIE UPDATE. She is out of surgery, everything went well and hopefully I will get her home tomorrow. THANK YOU ALL!! You're words are such a comfort to me.... LOVE YOU ALL!!

    Oh, Bobbi, it is four P.M. now, so I checked in too late to be of much help!! So sorry about that. Poor Gracie, I am glad she has a good vet. Maybe this would have happened even if she had not had surgery? I'm so glas everyhing went well, I know she will be so happy to be back with you.

    OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I am just nows seein' dis Ms. Bobbi! I can't believes little Gracie has gone and done dis to herself (actually I can cuz I would too).

    poor Gracie and you! Glad to hear you get to get her tomorrow to bring her home. It is hard to get them to understand they need to be quiet....hoping her recovery goes smoothly!

    Oh poor sweet Gracie! I'm so sorry she had to go through surgery again. But glad to read that it went fine and she is out. Now to keep her calm and still to recovery. Hold her on your lap and read to her, like you would your little granddaughter. I'll look for updates!

    Oh no! Bobbi, I am so sorry that this has happened to Gracie! I saw the update and I am so glad that she did well during surgery! Praying for Gracie's quick healing!
