It seems something is always coming between
me and blogging.
This time... I've been keeping Summer off and on while Lindsey, my daughter, has been down with a stomach virus. Rissi has been here too, but not as much. She helped her mommy yesterday and today she went to school.
As for Summer...
Talk about a workout!
This girl is on the go!!
I am thankful for her 3 hour afternoon nap which gives me time to clean up and re-group.
Lindsey can't afford to lose any more weight. They admitted her to the hospital this morning and started IV's and did a lot of blood work. They are having a hard time getting her heart rate to return to normal. Tomorrow a specialist comes in to talk to her about her abnormal thyroid levels. Please, say a prayer if you think about it.
I always tell her, "Lindsey, you have to eat more!"
She takes such good care of her girls... and after having Summer for 2 days, I understand a little better why she 'grabs a bite' when she can.
"Don't worry Short-Stuff... I'll take care of you while your Mommy is in the hospital." |
Prayers for your daughter. I hope they get to the bottom of this and get her on the road to healing soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope they figure Lindsey out soon!
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies, Summer is a hard age to keep up with.
)))Hugs(((
Oh gosh!! I am continuing to pray for all of you! I am so glad they are checking her out thoroughly! The videos of summer are just adorable!!! Aren't naps awesome? The next best thing to napping ourselves is when the grandchild naps. And I have a hunch maybe you are taking naps right along with her at times.
ReplyDeleteWe will say a prayer or two for your daughter. If it is thyroid at least that will explain things. We wish her a speedy recover and a quick diagnosis.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Sending prayers to Lindsey for a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea she is that thin. I think being in the hospital is the best place for her. I hope she will get help to put on some weight. I can only imagine how stressful this must be for you, in addition to being physically tired. I will keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, OK. And let Gracie help you. She loves Short Stuff and her cookies.
ReplyDeleteWow - - that is serious business about the health problems. She is too young for that.
ReplyDeleteAbout the baby - - how do you get her to take a three hour nap? Benjamin is only sleeping about an hour during the day before he leaves to go back to mom!
Precious friend... Lindsey, and all of you will def. be in my prayers...
ReplyDeleteThat Summer has "cuteness" down to an art... doesn't she?? And, I can understand why she wears her grammie out!!!
Sorry that Lindsey is going through this trying time with her health.... Glad she has such an awesome Mom, though.... to love and help her through it!!
Hugs,
Jenni

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that Lindsey is so sick, Bobbi. Glad she is in the hospital where they can help her get back to feeling good. YES, I can only imagine how tired you are with Summer being in the very active toddler stage. OH.MY! Hope things are back to normal very soon.
