Bad Girls

A few things...

we sold our old white car.  it was only sitting with a for sale sign in it (in our yard) for a couple of days and some guy came by yesterday, drove it, and offered cash on the spot.  it had sentimental value for gary... since it was his dad's car and it was left to him when his dad died in '06.

but it's time to move on.

and i just love my new car!   but!   note to self: don't forget to close the moon roof before getting out of the car.  yep.  you guessed it...  and yes, it did rain.  my car has been christened and I'm thankful for the leather interior.

we've been out the last few evenings.  visiting the grand-angels.  and shopping for a new king sized bed.  we're trying to find something that will go with our bedroom furniture so we don't have to get a whole new suite.

i say a king bed (vs. queen like we now have) will make a big difference and gracie will sleep in the middle.  gary says it will make no difference at all and she will still be 'stuck' to our sides no matter how big the bed is.

we'll see.

Dear Diary,
It had been 2 nights in a row. No walk.  And as a matter of fact, mom and dad disappeared.  Where were they?  Why was I not getting my walk, I asked myself.  I was torn between missing them (hence dad's slipper in the middle of the floor)

and getting even (hence the days mail not far from dads slipper).

And then...  the lecture.  I'm glad my Samson likes bad girls.  Gracie.

  1. Bet you don't forget that roof again - not too soon anyway. ;-)

Gracie, you poor thing, you look like you've been scolded for being a bad girl. You were just lonesome...

  2. A girl has got to do what a girl has to do to get attention.

  3. From a voice of experience, I'd vote for Gary. Gracie will be snuggling even I'd you put two king size beds together!

  4. I laughed out loud about your and Gary's conversation about the size of the bed and where Gracie will sleep. Then I read it to hubby and he laughed out loud too. I got to say, I agree with Gary about where Gracie will sleep LOL. They always pick the best part of the bed and they always manage to squeeze themselves against you until you develop leg cramps because you can't move them (but I wouldn't have it any other way and not have Koda sleep with us :)

    enjoy the weekend!

  6. I think the one thing I don't like about camping in our 5th wheel is that I have to adjust to a queen sized bed. At home, in our king, Leyna claims her spot in the center, toward the foot. The only time she's a cuddle dog is when she's very cold, or if we are eating in the living room. Then, she becomes your best cuddle friend!

Leyna has her own fuzzy, fleece blanket on top of our quilt, so she generally wraps herself in it to sleep. Sleeping in the queen w/her while camping is too crowded, though, so I make her sleep in her bed on the floor (w/her own blankie, naturally).

The picture of Rissi when you left after Grandparent's Day lunch was pitiful. She clearly loves her grandparents, much!

  7. Hi there, Oh how I love seeing your grands-they are so precious and Gracie is too. I understand about the slipper and mail; just last week Hunter chewed up so autumn decorations and a sandal of mine. I think Gracie will be where ever you are Bobbi. Have a great evening.

  9. Your grandkids are adorable. I'm with Gary, the new bed will not make a difference, Gracie will still be stuck, but I'm sure some more room will be nice.
Samson Says: Gracie, you get even with them when they leave you just like I do. I prefer to chew up mommy's books, so she's covered the bottom of her bookcases with fireplace screens, and other stuff (as if that would stop me if I really wanted to get to a book). Sometimes they forget and leave other stuff out and then I tear it up too. XOXO, your Samson.

  10. Glad y'all's old car sold so quick! I have yet to ever open my sunroof. I am not a fan of wind while driving. I'm glad it didn't ruin your interior!
