My sister, the school teacher, asked me to email her a picture of Dad for a Veterans Day wall her class was creating. Here is the finished product.
I wish Dad were alive today so I could tell him how honored I am that he was my father.
Dad died at 53 years old. Wow, that's young.
I miss him to this day.
A blink of an eye... and you might miss it.
So don't blink!
Have a beautiful Veterans Day everyone...
And to all those who served...
THANK YOU!
Gracie and I are still chilling from Blogger but we hope to be back real soon. I am tempted to just get in here and start seeing what you all have been up to... but then one thing would lead to another and before you know it, I'd be hooked again and this painting would not get done and neither would my book.
Miss you all! Will be back soon....
I am grateful for your father's service to our country, Bobbi.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Gracie a nice weekend. Miss you!
He was a hero for his service...53 is so young. Enjoy your weekend
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for our fathers service to our country. I'm father passed at age 57. It does seem so young now doesn't it? I'm thinking about your book and wondering if it is an ebook? : ) Just me. If you have mentioned in your blog what your book was about I must have missed it. Keep at it and you'll soon be done. Oh happy day!
ReplyDeleteOh what a handsome Daddy you have and left you WAY too young:(
ReplyDeleteMiss you and Gracie, hurry back! HUGS!
Thank you for sharing this today Bobbi... tell your daddy how honored you are that he was (is) your daddy... he is listening... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry he passed away so young. I respect the veterans so much and owe gratitude to your dad's generation of service men for the freedom we have in Europe now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I know that many of the teachers had the kids bring in pictures of the veterans in their families, I think it's great!
ReplyDeleteSo you are painting? I have been wondering what you have been up to! I hope you have a great weekend, Bobbi!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your Dad's service.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to honor your father. He died before his time. My dad is a veteran too. So HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY to all who served and sacrificed. Keep chilling, we'll be here when you get back. Say hi to Gracie for me. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a class project. We miss you, too, and I am sure Gracie will have all kinds of stories when you return.
ReplyDeleteHey there dear Bobbi and Gracie! Girl, I was so happy you had stopped in and left a comment on my blog.... I thought, "Oh, I hope she's posted something" and so popped over for a look - see. What a lovely tribute to your Dad. I know your heart misses him so; I am thankful for his service to our Country, and that of all of our Veterans...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jenni

ReplyDeleteYou are so right about getting back on here and then getting "sucked" back in. We'll be waiting (and missing you) for whenever you are ready to come back. Good projects to be working on!
