Born in the USA

The fields were alive with fireflies twinkling, creating their own brilliant firework display and Bruce Springsteen was bellowing out 'Born in the USA' from the sound system.  Then the show began!  My nephews had been collecting fireworks all year and this was the night they'd been waiting for.  My oldest nephew is a firefighter and took every precaution to make this a fun and safe event.  They did a wonderful job and we had so much fun!!

How was your Holiday?

  1. What a fun time! I hope Gracie survived the fireworks ok. Even living in the country we could here the sounds of the fireworks going off (we could even see a few) and our furkids weren't very happy about it.

  2. The kids look like they are having a fun time! Brings back memories! J n J spent their third evening in a row, hiding and shaking. I sure hope the neighbors are done now!

  3. So much fun, especially for the little ones! It rained hard with thunder and lightening here last night, so it was fairly quiet. Harriet and the cats hate the sound of fireworks! How did Miss Gracie do last evening?

  4. We had our fun with family at a country church on Sunday night and watched fireworks at our neighbor's house last night. It's been a lovely holiday weekend.

  5. Gosh, these are amazing fireworks, it looks like a professional show!!! The ones that go up in the air are not allowed in this state. I love your video. Mine was a disaster, I had turned the camera sideways to get a taller view, and the video came out sideways with the fireworks shooting off to the side, not up in the air!!!

  6. Fun! I love the 4th of July, picnics, being outside with family, and fireworks. Good old fashioned fun. I made ice cream with strawberries and blueberries and put sparklers in them!
