Yesterday my 92 year old patient gave me his secret for a long and healthy life.
1. Work hard!
2. Don't worry about anything.
3. Be happy.
4. Eat whatever you want.
5. Eat lots of cakes, cookies, sweets, etc.
That's all he had time for. He had to go home and cut some dead limbs from the tree with his chain saw.
His name is Howard and I have decided that he will be my mentor from here on out.
Well, he should know.... he has the longevity to prove it!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE his advice....Smiles...

Hi Bobbi, That's great advice!...I like the be happy and don't worry part the best...although the sweets are nice too...thank you for visiting me and leaving such nice comments...Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteMy new hero! I wonder if that'll include trips to McDonalds too??
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbi... I think I am in love with Howard... he certainly sounds like my kind of guy!... I wish you had a photo to post of him, he sounds darling!... xoxo Julie Marie PS Gracie, Tessy says woof right back!
ReplyDeleteI have an 87 year old Swedish friend who is like that too. He ran marathons for the longest time and just spent 4 weeks in China with his grandson, who lives there. Good for Howard, people like that are such an inspiration for us who are just getting old now.--Inger
ReplyDeleteGood for Howard! He sounds like my Dad. He has a selection of 'sweets' every day! He couldn't imagine a day without them. And he is a mere 95 years old! So much for sugar!!
ReplyDeleteGosh Bobbi, and at 92 he should certainly know the secret. Good for him! I like the part about eating anything you want...don't need to tell me twice :)
ReplyDeleteWay to GO, Bobbi!! Well, remember the conversation that George Burns had with a friend? The friend asked him what his doctor thought about his smoking cigars and drinking. He calmly replied "My doctor's dead."
ReplyDeleteTo each his own.... Right now I am riding high on healthy food and no sweets at all. Just wonderful stuff from the ground!! Like our beautiful strawberry. Both the Hubby and I are really feeling good with the healthy diet. I use to be sick at least 2 times a year, now years have gone by with no cold or anything else.
ReplyDeleteI am happy.
xx, Fern
Now he is one smart cookie! (Pun intended) Hehe
ReplyDeleteOkay, I get it, eat like a pig and work like a dog for a long healthy life! Wish I could do that!
ReplyDelete;-)
Hi Bobbi, Tell Howard I am with him all the way! He is my kind of mentor!
ReplyDeleteThose goodies look so goody!
Sue
MOL Mom says she wants a Howard too.

Go Howard! Can't argue with that advice, now I'm off to find some chocolate cake like in the picture!
ReplyDeleteI could totally live by those rules. Oh yeah. MMMMM.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Howard! May his tribe increase :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to Howard. I do the sweets, lol, I just need to learn not to worry....
ReplyDeleteListen Sugar...how's about some sugar? wink wink!
ReplyDeleteI just love old folks! My Grandfather (who lived to be 89) ate everything they tell us not to. Never slowed down until the strokes got him and was never stressed about anything. I think that was what lengthened his life! I wish it was that easy for me...LOL!
