Double Stuff Cookies for Dogs

When my kids were young each one of them had  chicken pox at different times.  Each of them were given a chicken pox party, complete with cake, ice cream and gifts as well.  It's the least I could do to lift their spirits at an itchy, scratchy, difficult time.   Gracie's flea trauma was no different.

Her package arrived yesterday from Three Dog Bakery.  She keeps dragging her peanut butter chew bone from room to room hiding it, then digging it out from under pillows and hiding it again.  I'm not sure if she likes it, or if she's just trying to get rid of it.

Double stuff cookies for dogs. Gracie likes!

Today it was up early for a business meeting in Hagerstown.  My boss and me think so differently about how my office should be run.  Errrrrrr.
 But he's my boss.

I wish this guy was my boss.  He'd listen to my ideas.  He'd probably even give me a huge raise.  He'd never argue with me or put me in my place.  He'd just sit there and quietly agree.

Oh well.  Enough of my bellyaching...

Went to see 'Unstoppable', a real nail-biter.  I liked it, and gave it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.  That's pretty good for me, and especially since I took a 5 minute catnap before the action started.

Other than that... not much to report.

  1. In all the years that I worked outside the home I only had 2 bosses that weren't my cup of tea. And one of those 2 was the boss I had when I retired. He wasn't as old as my youngest child but he thought he knew EVERYthing about everything. Tasks he should have been doing were assigned to us "underlings" so if something went right, he could take all the credit but if they didn't work out so well, then it was our fault. I was SO GLAD to retire!

If you give Gracie the treats tonight, will it be a Three Dog Night? Har har har!! Get it? The oldie rock group? S'cuse the bad pun, I couldn't help myself, I'm tired tonight. LOVE the picture of you and Ronald and I'm glad you were able to relax and see a good movie after all the stress!!

  9. Those treats look pretty yummy and are probably much better than the Ol Roy beef stick I gave Tootie last month. That one stick, which she devoured in an hour, gave her diarreaha for three days! She had so many baths, and her bedding got washed a lot, too. Lesson learned. Have a great Sunday, Bobbi!

  11. I finally got the right boss my last five years at UCLA -- He was from Jamaica and sooo laid back and brilliant at the same time! I hope you will have the same luck. Because they don't change, these bosses, so I hope for a new one for you. About the bone, I think she likes it and if she were outside, she would dig a hole and hide it from you.--Inger
