Bubbles fell asleep watching me last night. That in itself is not a surprise. She usually does fall asleep watching me. For some reason, Bubbles thinks she cannot survive without knowing where I am at all times. If I get up and leave the room, she follows. It does not matter that she is in a deep sleep. She 'feels' my every move.
Last night was different. She was spent from a day of doing her favorite thing. Well, one of her favorite things if not her favorite.
It was the first day of swimming this season! So when I left the room for a minute, one eye cracked open for just a moment, then it was shut. I guess she figured her exhaustion trumped her need to track my every move.
I love her, she is adorable and how great that she loves the pool. I know Faith would love a good swim, since she's part Labrador Retriever and they do retrieve birds from the water usually. She even has webbed feet, which have never been used for that purpose. I'm sure if Errol was still here and we were younger, we would have taken her to some lake to swim. It's great to be in touch again.
ReplyDeleteOh, Inger! It is so good to have you back. I will be looking forward to some posts and to see Faith's sweet face.
DeleteShe loves to swim! For some reason, I'm kind of surprised.
ReplyDeleteThat was one thing Gracie did not get to do... but had we had a pool earlier we probably would have started her. I believe starting them young is important. Bubbles was afraid her first couple of times but now she loves it. It's all about the ball. LOL!
DeleteHow great she loves to swim. Our dog won't go near the pool. Very afraid of the weather. She was the same way when we went to swim in the Gulf. Enjoy swimming season! Love, ma
ReplyDeleteGracie didn't like water either. I think if we would have started her out early in life she probably would have. Do you have a blog that you still post daily?
