Frustration!

I have a blogger-related frustration going on right now.  I will leave deep, detailed comments on blogs that I visit only to have them disappear and never posted.  It is frustrating because I love visiting my friends blogs and the way to communicate is through comments and ... well... you get the picture.  It's really weird because some blogs take my comments and some do not.

So as I try to figure out that dilemma, I will share a little of my Thanksgiving day with you.

This was not my year to cook (every other year) so Penn Alps was the restaurant of choice for this year.  The wait was about an hour but well worth it.

During the waiting, there is plenty to do.  Like shop, or as you can see by son #2's photo below...  read a book.

Our group gathered as we waited ~ laughing, talking, anticipating good food soon.

And not to disappoint, Penn Alps served up one of the best Thanksgiving dinner's I've ever had.  Yes!  It was delicious!!  And I did not have to slave away in the kitchen the day before or clean up afterwards.

Talk about being thankful!!

There is so much to be thankful for, indeed.  And on this day, we tend to stop and think on those things.

I hope you, too, had a blessed day!

All this talk of turkey and cake...  and all I got was a lousy bowl of roast beef and some time alone at home.  I've marked my calendar for next year.  Turkey at our house!!!  Period!!  ~ Gracie

  1. Gracie, you look beyond cute in this photo!! I see your humans have starved you again by not providing you with an entire feast. What shall we do about them? This place looks awesome. And great pictures of happy family. Now, if only there were something like this around here for Christmas...

  2. Are the blogs that don't take your comments the ones that you leave a comment on the same page as the post instead of a pop up screen? Seemed to me that another blogger had problems leaving a comment if it wasn't on a pop up screen on another page. But then I don't know how she fixed the problem if she ever did.

What a great idea to celebrate every other year at a restaurant so one only has to cook every 2 years. Looked like lots of fun!

  4. I leave comments and some have their settings so that they only post after their approval. I never look to see if they actually approved mine. ANYWAY... your Thanksgiving eating out looks like the perfect way to spend the day. It is SO much work. Gracie, next year it will be with you! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

  6. It looks like a nice and cozy place and it looks like a good time was had by all. And I can't believe how Summer has grown. Seems like only yesterday she was the cutest baby ever.

And Miss Gracie, at least you got to sit in the best chair in the house. Mine went to the dump!!! Be grateful, you are much loved.XOXOXO, your Samson

  7. I'm so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving with family! Lovely photos.

Sometimes your comments end up in comment moderation, but I always find them and then post them and appreciate them.

  8. Interesting concept. Cook Thanksgiving Dinner, every other year!

Not having any cleaning up to do, after, certainly does sound grand. :-)

Sorry for the not being able to publish comments. -sigh-

A while ago, I found that I could not "Preview" my comment, without it disappearing. In some places. I got to copying a comment, before I "Previewed" them, for awhile. That way, all my work of composition, did not go to waste.

Seems to not be happening now though... Or I am not trying to comment, where it happened. :-)

Perhaps my solution, might help you. Good luck!
