The sun does not shine.
It is too wet to play.
So I sit in the house
All these cold, cold, wet days
I sit there with Mom.
We sit there, we two.
And I say "How I wish
I had something to do!"
Too wet to go out
And too cold to play ball.
So we sat in the house.
We do nothing at all.
So all we can do is to
Sit!
Sit!
Sit!
Sit!
And I do not like it.
Not one little bit.
*Sigh*
So finally Dad says,
I got idea! Lets take Gracie to the tennis courts and give her some exercise.
The sun does not shine.
It is too wet to play....
And you'd think Mom would not bath me
On this cold, cold, wet day.
But she does.
And I don't know if I can forgive her.
ALL CLEAN! |
GRACIE you were born free. You look very happy at the tennis courts. I was surprised you didn't have more snow. My folks live near Fredrick and have 12 inches.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Gracie had some play time on the tennis court!
ReplyDeleteYou are Gracie Seuss!!! You are a poet and boy do I know it! And boy can you run!!! So you are an athletic poet!! Seems the wet and cold brings out the best in you, Gracie!
ReplyDeleteGracie, I hear you and I agree with you!

Oh Gracie,
ReplyDeleteBefore you know it the cold will be gone and you'll be romping in the grass all alone!
I know that you will be happy as can be, playing and running... feeling all free:)
Sending warm hugs and Georgia smiles!
That tennis court looks like a lot of fun! And don't you like being clean?
ReplyDeleteSamson Says: I love, LOVE, LOVE how your sweet ears flop in the wind when you run. And what a great poem - I think I must start to practice for Valentine's day. Haven't done one since. XOXOXO, your Samson
