Destination: Frederick, Maryland
Purpose: Shopping and a Movie
Mission: Accomplished
Gary enjoys a (rare) good (Crohn's) day!
THE IMPOSSIBLE:
You know...
What it's like when you go through a dry period...
Where you've cried about as many tears as you think you will ever cry in your life!
You feel jaded as a result of so much sadness in your life and in the world. You don't think one more thing will stir an emotion in you that will bring you to tears...
And then...
A tsunami of tears...
The tsunami of 2004 in Thailand and how it affected 1 family.
The following is a trailer for the movie THE IMPOSSIBLE. I tell you, you could have heard a pin drop at the end of this movie! Most were sitting in their seats sobbing, not making a move to leave the theater, including me.
A True Story.
Watch the trailer and if at all possible, see the movie. It was not playing in our area so we drove to Frederick, Maryland to see it. It will make you think. About life and humanity in general.
Dear Diary,
Yesterday Mom and Dad were gone all day. I missed them. Gracie.
Oh, my. The trailer brought tears to my eyes; can't imagine what impact the movie will have. I watch little tv, and mute the commercials when I do, so I tend to not stay up with the latest movies. I hadn't even seen this advertised. I can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeletePS-I loved your book!
That is going to be an amazing and very moving movie, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, did you know that Frederick is only about 20 minutes from me? Next time you are in that direction and and have fun, let me know and I'll ruin your fun by meeting you for coffee or something, my treat!! :-)
My sister used to live in Frederick, we picked up my Buddy (bird) there many years ago.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Gary in such a cheerful mood!
The Impossible - looks like it is an awesome movie!
I saw the trailer when we saw "Lincoln." It looks as if it's a very emotional movie. I'm a little afraid to see it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie Junebug
I really want to see it, but I am also afraid to see it ...
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of this movie, but it looks good. Gosh, the weather looked beautiful then it just all of a sudden CAME. I remember both of those songs and like them much better now after hearing Gary's background singing.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you had a great day out. Have a marvelous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

So glad Gary had a good day. The movie sounds good, but I know I will be completely overwhelmed and will skip seeing it. Take good care!
ReplyDeleteI don't like to cry! It makes my head hurt and my face swell up! I most likely will skip this movie but it sounds like a real tear jerker! Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThat really does sound like some movie!
ReplyDeleteWill it make me cry too?

Oh my! I don't think I could even sit through that movie. Thanks for the warning...BTW, I've gained back every pound that I lost and then a few more. :-(
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of that movie but I will certainly look for it on DVD when it comes out. I really like movies about natural disasters. Gary definitely sounded like he was having a great time! I would murder Bryan if he videoed me singing....LOL!
