FALLING INTO FALL

Fallen leaves.  Blue skies.

Not too warm but not too cool.

Vibrant colors.

Giggles.

Hayrides.

Must be fall.

Dear Diary,

I like fire hydrants.  I can't help it.  I also like light poles, tree trunks and dog poop.  I'm a dog for crying out loud!  Dogs like those things. I do not like to miss any of these smells.  So if it means a fire hydrant on the left, then a tree on the right, then some fresh dog pee on the left again...  then so be it.  I don't know what jay walking is, I just know it annoys the folks and makes  Mom The Nag blurt out her favorite quote, 'Gracie!  What is your problem?' She says I'm going to cause her or dad to fall over me. Whatever.  Gracie.

We had the same blue skies, but the leaves just aren't turning. The little ones are so adorable.

Hi, Gracie! It's me, Franklin. I know how to do this thing called "heel" when I take Mom for a walk. That way I don't trip her. Then she's happy and I get a biscuit. I don't mind heeling for a biscuit.

Love,
Franklin

P.S. I don't wanna get in the way of your boyfriend Samson, but I wanna say I think you're real pretty.

LOL, Gracie, we say the same thing here with Koda; he likes to go side to side too to stop and smell all he can!

Looks like fall is a beautiful season for you guys; enjoy!

We don't have much fall color here yet. Your photos are so pretty and the weather sounds perfect for the little ones to enjoy a hayride! Have they chosen a pumpkin yet?
Gracie, Harriet loves all the same things you love!!! Guess it's a DOG thing!!!

Beautiful autumn day! Lovely day for a walk or a hayride.

I hope they slow down so you can smell all the messages that were left for you, Gracie.

GRACIE - - - We used to have a dog that would stop in front of us - - - almost worse than zig-zagging cuz you never knew when it was going to happen.

Isn't fall just the best?!

Gracie, you are so lucky, the only smells Samson and Soldier get are their own and each other's. And the coyotes, of course. Coyote poop is the most exciting, except for bear poop, but no bear has been here for a long time.
Priceless pictures of the grandkids. Love them.
