Where's Gracie?

March looks busy.  I'm tired already.

Our appointment book is filling up fast and we
 made 2 sales already today.

Next weekend we spring forward.  I love this time of year!

We have a hearing Expo in Gettysburg Pa.
to attend this month.

My daughter Lindsey (Rissi and Summer's mommy) is getting married on the 18th to Robby (Rissi and Summer's daddy).  It's about time!

We have TV advertising that starts this month and several newspaper ads.  Gary has done interviews on talk radio that will air this month.

In the hearing aid business, March usually proves to be a good month for sales.  But then again, our February was fantastic!

Today I worked on our web page.  I like to keep it up to date... because believe it or not, a lot of people go there.  What do you think of my newsletter for March?

Gracie has been mysteriously disappearing at night.  She starts out sleeping with us in bed, but then she's gone.  I'll get up and look around to find her little white legs sticking out from underneath the bottom of the bed.  Then after a while, she'll try to get back up on the bed but she is afraid to jump up.  She'll whine and go out the door and try to get a running start.  But when she reaches the bed she stops and whines.  At first, I'd get up and pick her up and put her into bed with us.  But then it was happening 3 and 4 times a night and I'm thinking...  what is wrong with me?  Gary brought her a comfy doggie bed.  I laughed.  "A new toy box?" I said.  (That's what the others are used for).  But to our surprise, Gracie has been using her bed during the night.  She wanders at night.... and it makes me sad to think she's getting older and maybe isn't feeling quite as well as she used to...

  1. What great news about your business, and even greater about Lindsey!!! Are you planning a big wedding? I love your ad, especially the part that says not to miss a decibel of life. Poor Gracie, did she used to be able to jump on the bed and now can't? Phil is going to get his hearing checked where he works, if we lived closer, we would LOVE to come to you!!

  2. Congrats to Lindsey! I hope you'll share pics of the happy day.

Congrats also on your business. The newsletter looks wonderful.

Harriet enjoys her dog bed at night. I think maybe she gets too hot in our bed. She also likes being able to wander around and get water. She cannot get off the bed unassisted, so it's better to just let her sleep in her bed on the floor.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

  3. POOR Gracie. I always thought when a furbaby suddenly changes their routine, it means there is a problem. Maybe you are right, though and it's just her aging. Or she could be feeling a little sad at all the changes recently. The new baby, being in a doggie hotel for a few days, etc. Glad she likes her new bed. Congrats on your business growing and your daughter getting married. HOW exciting for you all. You are blessed. PS) Having done some newsletters back in the day. I will tell you, yours LOOKS great. You did a TERRIFIC job. Take care.

  9. Awe Gracie. My Mom used to have a little stool so their Billy could jump up on to the bed easier. I have wings so it is easy for me. Would you like to borrow my wings?

  10. So glad to hear your business is doing well Bobbi!... I think maybe Gracie is still just a tad jealous of the new arrival, and things being a bit different for her... some nights I cannot coax Tessy up into our bed, and she wants to sleep in her own... ???... xoxo Julie Marie and Tessy

  12. Congrats to Lindsey and Robby! That is exciting news....

And I love the news letter.... I have to say that I think y'all's wooden ear is one of the cleverest attention getters that I have seen in a long time.... if we lived near y'all, my Dad and Grannie would def be loyal customers I can tell!

You know, when Jazz got older it was harder for him to get on and off the bed, too.... it seemed to jar his joints or back or something when he'd jump down to the floor...but he had many happy years on his blankie and bed in the living room.....

    Hugs,
    Jenni

  13. That is wonderful about your business. They say it takes a good 5 years to get a business off the ground but you sound like you hit the ground running. Yay... Ragsy is having probs getting on the bed also now. He is also whining for help up. He has a hip prob starting. I notice when he wakes up he limps a bit before he works it out. He goes to the vet next month for his checkup and I will discuss it with the vet. I just wish they could talk so we would know how they are feeling... LJ
