In spite of the many mistakes that I've made in my life...
God has been good. I've been blessed.
I attribute that to Grace.
Without God's Grace...
I can't imagine where I'd be right now.
With so many different religions, beliefs and views on life... I am Thankful that mine is in Christianity.
I wasn't 'brought up' with 'religion' being high priority. As a matter of fact, my parents would send us to Sunday School and Church without going themselves.
But I had a thirst for what life and death were all about. I wanted to know... where did I come from... how did I get here... and where am I going after it's all over?
I've done research and studies... even wrote every word from The Bible out in longhand... looking for answers and wanting to understand.
There's so much I don't know.
As we celebrate this time of the year for giving thanks... I'd just like to take this time to thank
God for my Saviour, Christ the Lord.
Matthew 22:37-40
King James Version (KJV)
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Hello, dear Bobbi! I so enjoyed your heart - felt post today.... it is beautiful to see how thankful you are....and it touched my heart deepley to see your thirst for the things of God... (and I know it touches His heart, too!)
ReplyDeleteRemember that He said "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled"
When my heart longs for Him I seek Him in prayer and through His Word... the books of Acts and Psalms are favorites of mine.... I'll pray as I am reading that He will open the scriptures up to me and open my understanding of them...
Sorry this is soo long, but you have really touched my heart today! I hope you and yours have a wonderful, happy, and blessed Thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Jenni
I'm with you, Bobbi, without grace, God's grace, where would I be, what would I be? No other name but Jesus! He is more than enough, no matter what else is going on in our lives! I don't think I ever heard of anyone writing out the Bible in longhand. The names alone on some of them! But I'm sure it was good to think of the word while you were copying it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family have a very Thankful, Happy Thanksgiving!
