Summer - it's winding down.
I must have blinked somewhere along the way and the days skipped away without me knowing it.
Gary got his first tomato from his hanging planter...
It was good!
Tonight I was excited, because we were going to the cruise-in in Frostburg. It's an event that happens every year and it's so much fun. You'd swear you were back in the 50's with the oldies blasting throughout the town and the hot rods and vintage cars crusin' down main street... Honestly, it would remind you of a scene right out of American Graffiti.
Well, sometimes I feel like I forget what I forgot... Sharon's blog helps me to feel better about all that stuff... knowing I'm not alone and all.. http://iforgetwhatiforgot.blogspot.com/ If you feel the same way, you may want to pay her a visit.
Vacation ~ Where are you? I hope I don't forget to go...
Still some summer left though.. say's this sweet rose.
I have a sinus headache and pressure and Gracie's eyes are a little red. Is it a good time of year for allergies?
I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer.
Cooler temperatures are a little refreshing.
So very sorry you forgot about the cruise-in. That type of thing does happen, but few are brave enough to admit it.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the time of year when allergies are going big guns, now until frost. Had 98F here today, winding down is not moving for us yet.
I had to laugh at your shout out! There are lots of us out there, :-) You are a brave girl!
Here's hoping you get your vacation soon!
I don't know about your area, but here in Illinois the ragweed levels are very high. My dog had to get an allergy shot yesterday, he was doing so poorly. Hope Gracie does better than Woody! Take care of yourself, too!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your sinus yuckies, and Gracie's, too. Sometimes getting saline nasal spray from the drug store helps me... and I know I need to try steaming too, like you suggested. I will say a prayer for y'all, cuz you deserve a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe cruisin' thing sounds like it would be a blast! The fifties must have been such a neat era....
Take care, dear friend!
Hugs,
Jenni
Forgetfulness.........we all got it! Feel better! G
ReplyDeleteOh Bobbi, I forget more than I remember:) Sorry about the Cruise-in, sure sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteHope your sinus problem clears up! I sat at the ballgame last night with the dust and expect to have some issues from that, it most always gets me!
Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
Cooler temperatures???? Did you say "cooler"? Me FORGOT what cooler temperatures feel like.
ReplyDeleteYes Bobbi! Where did the summer go? I am waiting for a tomato to get to that stage....not a good year weather-wise here for tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteThat Cruise-In sounds like fun....I'd be there but I'd have to 'mark it down' first!!!lol
Checking out the forget web site. It sure fits me, lol... Yes, where did summer go??? I am not ready for fall yet, lol... Ragsy's eyes are watering a lot so allergies are bugging him also. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbi and Gracie...we hope you two are feeling better today. I bet the event in Frostburg was fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Hugs from your BFFF,
Madi
This summer has flew by. It's hard to believe it's Sept. Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteSummer ALWAYS goes too fast and WINTER always stays too long, that's the way I see it. But it was 102 here today so we've still got lots of Summer left for us. . .So what did you do with that yummy homegrown tomato?
ReplyDeleteFall is my worst season for allergies. Hope you headache is better and that you both will enjoy the long weekend. Enjoy that pretty tomato! Love to Gracie!
ReplyDeleteAllergies are happening here because of the drought weather. Our son-in-law put cherry tomatoes in the hanging pot and they have an abundance of them. Our evenings are beginning to cool down and it is delightful.
ReplyDeleteThe cruise-in sounds fun! Sorry you forgot about it. I have been having some sinus issues as well. I hope you are feeling better!
