"Gracie! I've never known you to curse before!! What is your problem?"
Dear Diary,
I'll admit I'm in a foul mood. What dog wouldn't be? Let's see. In the past month there was surgery. Chair-rest. Hernia. Pain. Chair-rest. No walks. Surgery again. Chair-rest again. No walks. No play. FINALLY the stitches came out and I was released from that immobile prison they called recovery.
Then it was RAIN. RAIN. MORE RAIN. Depressed? You don't even have a clue.... AND here's the kicker: My Mom, who claims to be doing this for my own good, says 'no more treats for you gracie, you are on a strict diet for your urinary tract'. I'm not sure what a urinary tract is... but let me at 'em. I'll tear that @#$%^&*(& apart. Gracie, dog of many sorrows.
Poor Gracie! I am glad to see you up and about....even if you don't like your new food.
ReplyDeleteAww sorry about the dietary dog food. I hope it tastes okay. Maybe Mom will give you a treat. I hear pumpkin is yummy for dogs and healthy too.
ReplyDeleteThe 'devil' made her do it!!!
ReplyDeleteGracie, Mom loves you very much. Be patient and you'll be back to normal very soon.
ReplyDeleteMy Ragsy is on a UD diet food from Science Diet. No treats... So we started giving him raw baby carrots (vet approved of course), he loves them.... The vet said they are not fond of the food so I started mixing in a little rice and can green beans on his say so and Ragsy seems satisfied with that. Oh how we love our little babies....
ReplyDeleteOooh little Gracie, I love you so much... things will get better, I promise!... Love, your friend Tessy PS I (Tessy) had to see the doggie doctor today again too... for a little "female problem"... doggie kisses to you!
ReplyDeletePoor baby!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that bag of prescription food right away! Believe me, I feel your pain. I am also on one of those awful prescriptions - mine is low fat and it is the absolute worst!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Gracie, I was going to say Poor Baby!!! You have been through so much, I feel for you Bab!! But we have to do what we have to do!
ReplyDeleteAre you mad with me Gracie?? You haven't come to see me in a long while now.......
xx, Fern
Our animals have been on Hill's for YEARS! We started that when we had a male cat with a UT problem. Our pets have been extremely healthy on that food and look beautiful, too - - - so Gracie, you will only get prettier!
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Your mom LOVES you so much ... so don't you worry. Sending you lots of Golden LOVE. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this Gracie. Want me to sneak over with my homemade food of brown rice, hamburg and carrots? Love, Billy
ReplyDeleteBoy, hearing Gracie's take on things, it's no wonder she is in a foul mood. I think perhaps I would be as well!
ReplyDeleteSamson Says: I'm with you, Gracie, bored stiff I am. Mommy is having another one of her "recovery" periods and that means no walks, no play, no fun at all. And to make it worse, it rained and rained here too. Well, at least I can eat and when Mommy feels guilty, there's the chance we get more treats than usual. Your Samson xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, dear Gracie! If it's not one thing it's another. No wonder a few choice words slipped.
ReplyDeleteOh, Gracie, I feels your pain....no, really I do. No dog should ever be put through all of dat. But brudder Max (DaOdderWeenie) says dat you is one smart and good lookin' cookie ({cookie...gotta have a cookie}) oh, sowie! Didn't means to say da cookie word in front of you.
ReplyDeletePeeS....Dat food isn't so bad. I had's it once!
Gracie, you got to listen to what your mom wants you go do; she only wants the best for you! she doesn't want you to have to go through that surgery again; she missed you so much when you were gone! So try to be understanding, okay?
ReplyDeletebetty
Poor Gracie! I don't think I'd like a diet change either! Hang in there girl!
