He Is My Hero

My 2 weeks of bed rest are over.  Tomorrow it's back to work for me.  I'm not real excited about returning to work... but I'll have to admit I'm very excited about returning to life!!

I'm not going to get into the details of my bed rest.  Ugh!  No one should have to listen to such stuff...

But this wonderful man endured, and he is my hero!!

I love you Gary!
Thank you for being here for me.

And my Gracie.  I saw so many emotions through her eyes in the last couple of weeks.  There was fear, confusion, sadness, and finally joy.  Dogs are without a doubt 'man's best friend'.

And who wouldn't feel better just seeing this smiling face.  This picture was taken last week when she was here...

She snuggled up beside me on the recliner today and said, "Grammy, can I play Barbie Dream Castle with you when you get better?"  She melts my heart.

And then there was you, my blogger buds.  You have comforted me, prayed for me, gave me good advice, and made me Laugh out Loud.  I am blessed and thankful to know you!

Okay, So What is Gracie's emotion here?

  2. It's great that you have such a super hero! Having a loving dog helps loads too!

Gracie looks like she is questioning something - like is the Jack-in-the-box going to pop up or not? Or is Daddy going to throw that toy?

Best wishes on your first back to work day, tomorrow! Take it easy!

  9. Your heart overflows, doesn't it? When I had my surgery (coming up on 2 years ago this month), my husband did it all and took such good care of me. My heart just ran over with love and gratitude -- and, wonderfully, it has stayed that way. Adversity does tighten the bonds, sometimes, doesn't it.

Have a good day at work!

  10. Glad to hear you are feeling better. It will take a little while to get back in the work groove again. Gracie will be one happy girl to have mom back playing with her. She is such a sweet companion and obviously totally devoted to you.

  15. I'm so glad to hear you're doing better now, though I understand about your wanting to stay home.

I'm sorry I so rarely comment. For some reason, your blog is still loading terribly slow for me. I do regularly read your posts, but I read them in my Google Reader, where I can zip right through them. I'm not computer savvy enough to know why my computer comes to such a standstill when I come here, but I will continue to occasionally bite the bullet and come here to comment. :-)
