She's No Shirley Temple

Last night we attended
our granddaughters first dance recital.

Ok, so she's no Shirley Temple.
 But she sure is cute.
Notice the stage freight when she realized
she was in front of a huge audience.

  1. Hey Bobbi,

I don't usually watch videos of any length, because I know my server will cut me off at the knees, but I simply had to watch this. It's been so long since I've seen a Children's Christmas program and it brought tears to my eyes.

Marissa is such a doll and I'm sure she will know what is going on, next time. How very cute!

  2. Your granddaughter is a living doll! For some reason I can't see the video. *sigh* I know she was adorable.

  3. She is beautiful and did great for her age! It takes a while to get used to an audience and she did not go running off the stage crying. Plus she did a lot of the routine. How wonderful that you have a video. You will love going back and looking at it over the years. Thank you for sharing you family Christmas memories with us!

  5. She is adorable! I teach 4-year-olds! We were asked to sing some songs for our school's Christmas Open House. We also did Rudolph with similar motions! I bet Marissa loves that she gets to wear that precious tutu!

  6. Awwww! You're breaking my heart, Bobbi! You know that the little one's programs are my favorite part of Christmas!!! For some reason, they just make me cry, and I am now!! So sweet! You saw both of ours on my blog, but only pictures, boo-hoo! I have a video camera that uses a mini DVD, but don't know how to put it on the computer. So all I did at the programs was take pictures. She did GOOD! Well, she was the littlest one there and was a bit scared! But she tried so hard, and was looking at the bigger girl next to her to see what to do. Even though she had stage fright, she still managed to reign it in and do lots of the motions!! Bravo for her, I have seen ones who are just motionless and stiff as a board the whole time! Thank you for posting this, it is so special and was very moving to me!

  10. She was too cute!! You could see it in her eyes indeed about the stage fright! But I'm thinking give her a few years and who knows, Shirley Temple had to start out at right time too, know what I mean?
